ONGC(Oil and Natural Gas Corporation started Scholarship for Merit Students is a program by the ONGC Foundation designed to provide financial support to deserving students from below povertyline families like SC/ST, OBC, and General categories. This scholarship supports students in their first year of Engineering, MBBS, MBA, or Master's in Geophysics/Geology by offering a financial grant of INR 48,000 per annum to help them successfully complete their higher education.
To ensure that the talented students belonging to the economically backward classes get the equal opportunity to perform their best in their respective educational domains and shine bright in the future.In total amount of scholarships,Over 50% of the scholarships are reserved for female candidates to promote women empowerment through their education. This would encourage the meritorious students of SC/ST category to pursue higher education without having to worry about the finances.

| 2.Minimum 60% in 12th class for engineering students |
| 3.Minimum 60% in Graduation for PG students |
| 4.This scholarship only for full-time regualar students |
| 5.For SC/ST candidates, the family income should be less than ₹4.5 lakhs per annum |
| 6.For OBC candidates & Gen-EWS , it should be less than ₹2 lakhs per annum |
| 7.The maximum age limit for applicants is 30 years |
