GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national-level exam conducted in India that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of undergraduate-level subjects in engineering and science. It is used for admissions to postgraduate programs (Master's and Doctoral) and for recruitment by some public sector companies recruitments.
GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 subjects, including a new subject, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. Candidates can opt to appear in one or two papers, choosing from approved combinations.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying Degree: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts or equivalent.Students in the final year of their qualifying degree are also eligible.For gate exam No age limit .So,you can write N no.of times in your life.
Exam Pattern
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Duration: 3 hours
Total Marks: 100
Number of Questions: 65
Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
Sections: General Aptitude (15 marks) and selected subject-specific sections (85 marks)
The official notification for GATE 2025 has been released by IIT Roorkee. Key details include:
1.The registration process starts on August 24, 2024, and ends on September 26, 2024. There is an extended period until October 7, 2024, with a late fee.
2.The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
3.Candidates should review the eligibility criteria on the official GATE website before applying.
4.The fee for female, SC/ST, and PwD candidates is Rs. 900 during the regular period and Rs. 1400 during the extended period. For all other candidates, it is Rs. 1800 and Rs. 2300, respectively.
5.GATE 2025 will be a computer-based test (CBT).
6.A new subject, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, has been introduced. Candidates can appear for one or two papers, depending on the approved combinations.
7.Admit cards will be available for download in January 2025 from the official GATE website.
